Holdbart

Holdbart AS has increased its administrative efficiency with Timegrip Standard.

Holdbart is a Norwegian company that was incorporated in 2015. The company’s founders have extensive experience of the Norwegian convenience and supermarket sectors.

Their business idea was prompted by the vast quantities of grocery products that never make it onto Norway’s supermarket shelves, but are simply thrown away. From tender beginnings in 2015, Holdbart now has eight physical retail outlets and an online store.

Importers, producers, and wholesalers throw away or destroy 77,471 tonnes of perfectly adequate products every single year. These goods can now be sold via holdbart.no instead of being destroyed. This is good for the environment, suppliers and customers’ wallets.

In addition to running its physical shops, Holdbart engages in warehousing and logistics, and has an online store. This makes staffing a pretty complex business. We need a fast and flexible staffing solution that is extremely accurate.

Employee-friendly staffing and communications

With a complete retail operation at several different locations, a large goods inwards warehouse and online sales, staff scheduling and communicating with all our employees at peak periods has kept us extremely busy.

Now communications between our department heads and employees are all handled seamlessly using the Timegrip app. Everyone is part of the dialogue, everyone knows what is happening and we avoid misunderstandings and delays. Now we have a single communications channel for changes, requests, messages and bulletins that reaches everyone.

All our employees are involved in the company’s operation in a completely new way, and can ask to shift swaps or request time off or holiday leave directly in the app. The fact that our department managers can approve all employee requests directly in the app also makes us more efficient.

In short, we are extremely pleased with Timegrip as a service and a supplier. For me as a business person, it is simply fantastic that a piece of IT works as intended.

Hours, payroll and administration

Not only do all staff schedules automatically calculate performance against budgets and forecasts, but all our employees can also easily clock in and out in the app, which allows us to monitor our cost performance in real time.

The automatic calculation of all salaries, allowances and overtime saves us a lot of time, and the figures we export from Timegrip to our payroll system are also much more accurate.

Timegrip Standard

At Holdbart, we have chosen the Timegrip Standard solution, and that is more than enough for us.  It enables us in management to work quickly and efficiently, and with full control, at the same time as our workforce is happy with the solution.

Given the speed at which Timegrip rolls out new functions and improvements, we don’t have time to wish for other functions and features.

In short, we are extremely pleased with Timegrip as a service and a supplier. For me as a business person, it is simply fantastic that a piece of IT works as intended.
